The necessity of Black History Month reminds you of the violence that is created for all people who believe in liberty. That any characteristic leads to inequality then requires those who aren't discriminating to focus on that characteristic if we are going to see that everyone is included, even the racists. We then get stuck having to see through this perspective that sees "other" from time to time.
