It seems that one of the more overlooked issues in society today is how the magnitude of choices available is far beyond what our minds can deal with, just looking at the options on one streaming service, while exciting , it is often overwhelming as well. And that is just one tiny area of day to day living. Which leads to a greater concern, we tend to oversimplify one another, define people by their politics or some other characteristic, remove nuances and move on, avoiding effort in short term. It may even feel as if it has no consequences, certainly less consequences than picking the wrong restaurant or tv show since we haven't got to deal with most people directly, but of course we still deal with them in a society. Our desire for more of everything may still beat out any limits and dangers created by those limits and leave us with making interactions more and more of a virtual sort so we can ignore whatever details about someone as we please.
